Modding an Arcade1up Cab, there are basically 3 options:
1. Keep the original 17" monitor
2. Upgrade to a Dell 19" Monitor
3. Upgrade to a Dell 20" Monitor
When adding a Raspberry Pi to any arcade, I only use 2 options*:
1. Raspberry Pi4-4GB Ram onboard
2. Raspberry Pi4-8GB Ram onboard
* others will say this is overkill, I would rather 'overkill' than produce a sub-par product.
When adding a Raspberry Pi, you need to amplify the sound, and I offer 2 Options:
1. Standard Amp 25w x 25w 2 speaker output.
2. Pro Amp 50w X50w w/ 100w Sub wolfer output + Bluetooth - This sound is so good it can be used for your arcade/game room sound system w/ steaming music.
There are really only 3 options we use:
1. Light up LED buttons (chrome or clear ring)(convex, round on top buttons)
2. Non-Light up buttons (chrome or clear ring)(convex, round buttons)
3. Non-Light up buttons (button color ring)(concave, recessed buttons)
I only offer 3 types of joysticks:
1. Sanwa Style high grade 4/8 way manual gate (8-way default)
2. Suzo Happ 8-Way gate competition
3. ServoStick - Sanwa Style - change the gate from 4 to 8 way and back w/ a push of a Button
This is a nice touch to set your arcade(s) apart from others. We add 1 3/4" Feet to the arcade1up riser. We then wire the LED's to illuminate the floor. We also add the same LED's to the back Panel to light up the back wall, it looks great and you will most likely want to add this to ALL your arcades.
